Under the overall supervision and guidance of the Country Officer/Project Coordinator for the Disaster Mitigation, Relief and Reconstruction Program in the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) and the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI) and in close collaboration with the Project Officer, the incumbent will be responsible for managing a small project support unit in Manila. He/She will provide technical assistance to the Program in the areas of logistics, procurement and post-disaster reconstruction. In the event of a disaster, they will also oversee the operational support to the islands from the Manila office. In particular, he/she will:
Oversee the specific outputs pertaining to preparedness for emergency humanitarian relief in accordance with the Operational Blueprint, Cooperative Agreement and Global Work plan.
Coordinate the finalization of the procurement, transportation and handling of the pre-positioned supplies to three IOM offices (ie Pohnpei, Yap and Chuuk).
